Trick-or-treaters in Michigan may be the happiest if you give them this candy on Halloween.
MICHIGAN — October is synonymous with many things, including candy. If you didn’t get your Halloween candy on sale after last year’s festivities, now is the time to start stocking up for trick-or-treaters that will show up at your door on Oct. 31.
As for what type of candy you want to dole out, Michigan trick-or-treaters do appear to have a favorite and you won’t believe what it is.
CandyStore.com, a bulk candy delivering service, gathered 11 years of data to determine the three most popular Halloween candies in each state. The company says its results also depended on candy manufacturers and distributors to help verify its conclusions.

In Michigan, the most popular candy during Halloween is Candy Corn. Michigan sold nearly 151,000 pounds of it. Coming in second was Starburst and Skittles claimed the third spot, per CandyStore.com.
