Michigan Surpasses 700,000 Coronavirus Cases On Monday

The COVID-19 death toll in Michigan is over 16,200, according to state data.

MICHIGAN — More than 700,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Michigan, according to the most recent data released Monday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

The state surpassed 700,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday when state health officials reported that Michigan had added 10,293 confirmed cases of the virus between Saturday and Monday. The state also reported 21 more COVID-19 deaths on Monday.

Michigan's updated figures bring the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state to 702,499. The coronavirus death toll in Michigan stands at 16,239.

Health officials in Michigan reported on Saturday that 577,141 Michiganders had recovered from the virus as of Friday. The state updates its COVID-19 recovery numbers weekly.
