More Snow, Below Zero Wind Chills: Metro Detroit Weather

METRO DETROIT — More snow is coming to the metro Detroit area this week along with zero degree temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

The first round of scattered snow showers will move into the Detroit area Wednesday afternoon, according to the weather service.

Forecasters expect roughly 1 inch of fresh snow across the area.

Some of the coldest air of the winter season so far will also move into the Detroit area Wednesday night, with wind chills falling at or below zero by Thursday morning, according to the weather service.

Thursday will stay cold before another round of light snow is expected to move into the area on Friday, according to the weather service.

As of Tuesday morning, forecasters only expect minor accumulations Friday.

High temperatures will move closer to average over the weekend, according to the weather service.
