Multiple Arrested In Belle Isle Kidnapping: Police
Troopers turned the car and suspects over to Detroit Police.

DETROIT — Multiple people were arrested in connection with a kidnapping that happened Friday on Belle Isle in Detroit, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers were notified about a body "possibly" dumped on Belle Isle in the area of Lakeside and Lucern at 2:30 p.m. Friday, according to police.
Police said a trooper then saw the suspect's car, a silver Ford Focus, leaving the island. Troopers stopped the car on Jefferson Avenue and confirmed the license plate matched the car they were looking for in connection with the kidnapping, according to police.

Troopers turned the car and suspects over to Detroit Police and found the kidnapping victim on the east side of the island, according to police.
Troopers did not release any information on the victim's gender, age or physical condition.

"Fortunately, these suspects were taken into custody before someone was seriously hurt," Michigan State Police First Lt. Mike Shaw said.
Detroit Police were still investigating the incident.
