Slots Player Wins $1M Jackpot At Detroit Casino

DETROIT — A MGM Grand Detroit slots player won $1 million after hitting the jackpot last month, according to the casino.

The lucky player hit the jackpot on a Dragon Link slot machine on July 19, winning $1,075,996, making it the largest award by the casino this year, according to the casino.

The casino didn't identify the winner by name.

MGM Grand Detroit also said it was the first commercial casino in Michigan to have the popular Dragon Link slot machine, which was introduced in July 2024.

It's the second time in less than a year that a slots player at the MGM Grand Detroit hit the jackpot and won at least $1 million.

So far in 2025, MGM Grand Detroit has issued $215,616,004 in jackpots, which includes $28,706,431 in July, according to the casino.
