Southfield Freeway Closed In Detroit As MSP Investigates Shooting
Police said the freeway is closed as they search for evidence.
DETROIT, MI — Southfield Freeway is closed between 7 Mile and 8 Mile roads in Detroit as Michigan State Police investigate a shooting from early Thursday morning.
Police said a man was driving his vehicle north on Southfield Freeway between 7 Mile and 8 Mile roads around 4:30 a.m. when a white SUV with tinted windows swerving in front of him. The man told police he believed the driver of the vehicle to be drunk and slowed down. Soon after, police said, the driver heard a bang.
When the man arrived at his destination, police said he found what he thought was a bullet hole in his vehicle. The man contacted police who said they then began investigating.
