Virtual Event To Promote Black Businesses On Juneteenth

DETROIT, MI — Multiple groups are coming together to host a virtual event aimed at promoting Black businesses on Juneteenth.
Ponyride, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan and Détroit is the New Black, will be hosting its first virtual Ponyride Makers Market from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. Friday and
The virtual event will celebrate Juneteenth and offer panel discussions, virtual vendors, live music and resources for local entrepreneurs, the groups said Thursday in a news release. Panel topics include Surviving & Thriving: Navigating Entrepreneurship as a Black Woman and Overcoming Racial Biases as a Black Male Entrepreneur.

Saturday will feature a Block Party located at Détroit is the New Black. Activities include a Black Business Crawl, Music, DJ's, Performers, Vendors, Movie in the Alley, Live Painters and Dance Cypher.
