Wayne County Coronavirus Update: 75,572 Cases, 2,142 Deaths
Michigan reported its highest single-day increase in cases since December.
WAYNE COUNTY, MI — More than 75,000 cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Wayne County, according to the most recent COVID-19 data released Wednesday by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
According to the data, 75,572 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Wayne County. The state also reported Wednesday that 2,142 people in Wayne County have died from COVID-19.
Michigan as a whole reported its highest single-day increase in new coronavirus cases since December on Wednesday. The state reported 6,311 new COVID-19 cases and 10 more deaths.

The new figures bring Michigan's coronavirus totals to 672,259 confirmed cases and 16,092 deaths, according to the state data.
