Ice Cream Social and More This Weekend in Dexter

1. Dexter Senior Center Ice Cream Social

• When: Saturday, June 1, 2013, 10:00 AM
• Where: Dexter Senior Center
  
• What: The Dexter Ice Cream Social is a great annual family/community event sponsored by the Dexter Senior Center and can be enjoyed by both young and old. Activities for the day include hayrides thru the historic part of the village, bounce house for the kids, craft show, 9 hole miniature golf course and live entertainment by "NUCLEUS" in the gazebo from 12 to 3. Food and Ice Cream will be provided by Stucchi's Ice Cream & Cafe. Stucchi's will be offering Hand Dipped Cones and "build your own Sundae". The Ice Cream Social is made possible by contributions from local businesses, additional proceeds will go to support Dexter Senior Center activities.  
  

2. Chelsea Painters 40th Art Fair

• When: Saturday, June 1, 2013, 10:00 AM
• Where: 100 Silver Maples Dr Chelsea MI 48118
• What: The Chelsea Painters 40th Annual Art Fair will be held Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Twenty-five award-winning artists will display and sell original fine art and cards in a variety of media: watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, gouache, encaustic and mixed media. Join us in the Courtyard of Silver Maples of Chelsea (park near the front door and walk through the building to the Courtyard): 100 Silver Maples Dr., Chelsea, MI. The event is free, open to the public, wheelchair accessible and is held in a delightful, park-like outdoor setting.  A lovely indoor café overlooks the art fair. 3. 2013 Ya'ssoo Greek Festival of Ann Arbor

• When: Saturday, June 1, 2013, 11:00 AM
• Where: 3109 Scio Church Rd Ann Arbor MI 48103
• What: Everyone is invited to enjoy the warm hospitality of Ann Arbor’s St. Nicholas parishioners at the 7th annual Ya’ssoo Greek Festival, 3109 Scio Church Road, May 31, June 1-2, featuring Greek cuisine and homemade pastries, live Greek music and entertainment, dancing, our Agora Marketplace, and the Hellenic Cultural Exhibit.  New!  Cash prizes for this year’s Raffle:  1st prize, $2,000; 2nd prize, $1000; 3rd prize, $500; 4th prize, $250.  Also featuring Bonus Prizes.  Guided tours of our Byzantine-style church are conducted throughout the event.
