Weekend Road Construction in Southeast Michigan

Here's a roundup of road closures and construction around southeast Michigan this weekend.

The following construction activities are scheduled for the weekend beginning Friday, Oct. 25, and ending Monday, Oct. 28. Some of this work may be postponed due to inclement weather or any unforeseen circumstances.

I-94:

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have the left lane closed for road work from Livernois to West Grand Boulevard from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In Wayne County, the eastbound I-94 ramp to M-1 (Woodward Avenue) will be closed from  

7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have two left lanes closed for bridge work from Mt. Elliott Avenue to M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) from 5 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday. Traffic will be shifted to the ramp. Expect heavy delays.

In Wayne County, westbound I-94 will have two right lanes closed for concrete patching at M-39 (Southfield Freeway) from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

I-96:

In Oakland County, westbound I-96 will be reduced to one lane for resurfacing from Novi Road to Wixom Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In Oakland County, the westbound I-96 ramp to northbound Milford Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 will have the left lane closed for road work from Inkster Road to Beech Daly Road from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. 

In Wayne County, westbound I-96 (local lanes) will have the left lane closed for bridge work from Evergreen Road to Burt Road from 6 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday. 

In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 (express lanes) will have the two left lanes closed for bridge work from Burt Road to Evergreen Road from 6 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday. 

I-275:

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound I-275 will have two lanes closed for pavement marking work between Van Born Road and US-12 (Michigan Avenue) from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday.

M-39:

In Wayne County, the northbound M-39 ramp to westbound I-94 will be closed for concrete patching from 10 p.m. Fridayto 5 a.m. Monday.

M-10:

In Wayne County, northbound M-10 will have the two right lanes closed for road work from McNichols Road to 7 Mile Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.

M-85 (Fort Street):

In Wayne County, northbound and southbound M-85 (Fort Street) will have daily lane closures between King Road and I-75 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday, Oct. 30.

US-24 (Telegraph):

In Wayne County, northbound US-24 (Telegraph Road) will have the right lane closed for construction at McNichols Road from 9 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. 

M-1 (Woodward Avenue):

In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-1 will be reduced to one lane between Catalpa Road and I-696 from 9 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday. The M-1 service drive will be closed at I-696.

I-375:

In Wayne County, the northbound I-375 ramp to southbound I-75 will be closed for bridge work from 12 a.m. Thursday toThursday, Nov. 21.

 

Beginning the week of Monday, Oct. 28:

I-96:

In Wayne County, eastbound I-96 (express lanes) from Burt Road to Evergreen Road will have intermittent left lane closures for bridge work from 9 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1. 

In Wayne County, westbound I-96 (local lanes) from Evergreen Road to Burt Road will have intermittent left lane closures for bridge work from 7 a.m. Monday to 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1.

Dix/Toledo Road:

In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound Dix/Toledo Road will have one lane closed at I-75 from 7 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.
