When Is Dexter High School's Prom?
This year's prom will have karaoke, a comedian and a chance for attendees to make their own music videos.
The following answers were provided by Paula Staebler, Dexter High School prom chair.
Planning is underway for the 2013 prom. What are you guys looking for? Volunteers? Donations? Etc.?
We are looking for volunteers to help set up on Friday afternoon, Saturday all day, Saturday night and clean up Sunday afternoon. Also some parents/adults/teachers to dress as celebrities and mingle with the kids.

When does the prom take place? Are there any special rules this year (no outside students)?
Prom is May 18 from 8pm-midnight. Kids from other schools are welcome if they are invited by a current student and have proper paper work filled out at DHS.

Tickets will be sold the week of prom in the commons area for $35 and at the door for $40.
What events are planned for this year's prom?
This year we will have: make your own music videos, a comedian - Keith Fields, caricaturists, casino area with live entertainment by DHS student, dancing, karaoke, appetizers, desserts and beverages.
About how many volunteers work on prom? How long does it take to pull off a successful prom?
It takes about a hundred or more volunteers and we start planning in late November.
What are you looking forward to the most this year?
The new activities: the comedian and make your own music video (each group gets their own DVD).
