• DNR recommends 13 park projects, including 5 in metro Detroit, get Land and Water Conservation grant (wxyz.com) — Farmington Hills is in line for a $500,000 federal Land and Water Conservation grant to upgrade the playground and parking at Heritage Park, improving a popular local gathering spot. The same grant program will also fund several other park, trail, and recreation upgrades across metro Detroit and the rest of Michigan if approved by the National Park Service.
