1. New restaurants coming to Farmington Hills?
City council members will consider two liquor license applications during their regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Look for Bawarchi Signature Restaurant, in the space formerly occupied by Sips Bar & Grille on Grand River south of Nine Mile, and Afriks, in a former art gallery at 32523 Northwestern Highway.2. Farmington School Board will elect new officers Tuesday.
During their first meeting of the new fiscal year, which starts at 7:30 p.m., officials will select new leaders and consider appointing Great Northern Consulting Group to handle the sale of five properties: Flanders, William Grace, Wooddale, Fairview and the Maxfield Training Center. Busch's Fresh Food Market and Botsford Hospital team up on Wednesday, 6 p.m., for this workshop. Learn more about the diet's benefits, how to create a Mediterranean pantry and watch a small cooking demo. Pick up tickets at Busch's service counter; the store is located at Drake and Grand River in Farmington Hills.4. Busch's Fresh Food Market is hiring.
The company will meet with job applicants on Thursday, starting at 9 a.m. Apply online at www.buschs.com/joinourteam/ and come to the job fair ready to interview.5. Mass Transit is back.
Returning by popular demand, this 9-piece, horn-based band rocked the amphitheater in Heritage Park last year. They're back in a concert featuring rock, blues, Motown and more. Admission is free; the park is located on Farmington Road between 10 and 11 Mile Roads.
