All Farmington Public Schools Buses Pass State Inspection

Of the 97 buses in the Farmington Public School District's fleet, every one passed this year's Michigan State Police school bus inspection. 

Inspections are made across the state each year, from September through August. The state website explains that buses earn a "pass" when they are in satisfactory condition, a "yellow" when they are safe, but in unsatisfactory condition, and "red" when buses are unsafe.  

Red-tagged issues must be addressed before a bus can go back into service.

Michigan's process is one of the best in the nation, Patrick Dean of Dean Transportation told a WXMI-TV news reporter. According to the Grand Rapids station's report, inspection information for individual buses may be available on the state's website by the 2014-2015 school year.
