Benefactors Brighten Farmington's Red, White and Blue With Flag Donation

A group of generous donors are behind a crop of new American Flags now proudly displayed along some of Farmington's main drags.

A group of patriotic benefactors are behind the replacement of several frayed and weathered American Flags that were peppered about Farmington Road and Grand River Avenue.

The Farmington Beautification Committee was short on funds to replace the faded flags, according to a hometownlife.com article, which is when members of Revolution Flag Group stepped in to donate 18 shiny new ones — just in time for this past weekend's Memorial Day Parade.

The Revolution Flag Group is a flag and flagpole business with a mission of meeting, "the patriotic needs of cities, parks, veterans and others who don’t have the resources to purchase the flags or poles themselves."
