FARMINGTON HILLS, MI - As you’re busy wrapping gifts and thinking about the cleanup that will come after the holidays, the city of Farmington Hills offers this timely reminder:
Wrapping paper and cards with glitter and metallics are not recyclable and should be tossed in with regular trash, but holiday cookie tins and lids can go in the recycling cart. Plain wrapping paper and cards without the sparkly adornments can be recycled.
Garbage and recycling collection won’t occur on Friday, Dec. 25, or Friday, Jan, 1, due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. During those weeks, normal Friday pickups will occur on Saturday.
