Cipriano, Mitchell Face Life Sentences Wednesday in Farmington Hills Attacks

Tucker Cipriano, who pleaded no contest in June to first degree homicide in the beating death his father, plans to read a statement during his sentencing on Wednesday. 

According to the Detroit Free Press, the 20-year-old will express remorse for the April 16, 2012 assault in Farmington Hills that left Robert Cipriano, 52, dead, and Rose and Salvatore Cipriano fighting for their lives. Rose, 51, was released from the hospital in May; Salvatore, 18, continues to recover at a rehab facility. 

Mitchell Young, 21, who was convicted in late June on charges that included first degree murder with intent, assault with intent to murder and armed robbery, will also be sentenced on Wednesday. His attorney told the Free Press Young may or may not speak. 

The report also noted that family members may speak during the sentencing hearing, which is scheduled to begin in front of Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Shalina Kumar at 1 p.m. in Pontiac.
