The Evidence of Advent in the Gospel of Mark: An Epiphany Retreat

Though presented differently from other gospels, recognize the Advent themes in Mark's work with the Pine Hill Congregational Church

Advent without a manger, angels, shepherds, Magi, or even a birth story? How can that be? Advent can still be found throughout the gospel of Mark even without any of these seemingly important details that we cherish so much during the seasons of Advent and Christmas. Find the "Evidence of Advent" during an Epiphany Retreat on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm, with the Pine Hill Congregational Church in the Plymouth-Bradford Room of North Congregational Church, 36520 West 12 Mile Road, in Farmington Hills, Michigan 48331. There is no charge for this event, which will include opening worship and music, presentation, discussion, reflection, sharing, and fellowship, and those who attend are welcome to bring snacks to share and their own bag lunch (refrigeration available). Email drcapacker@gmail.com by Thursday, January 4, 2024, to register.
