Authorities Identify Farmington Fatal Crash Victim

Karen L. Farr died after her minivan hit a tree on Farmington Road early Saturday morning.

Farmington Public Safety on Tuesday released the name of the Livonia woman killed early Saturday morning, after her minivan crashed into a tree on Farmington Road just south of Shiawassee.Β 

Karen L. Farr, 52, was killed after being thrown from the vehicle, which was traveling at a high rate of speed before the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.Β 

Funeral services will be heldΒ Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road, with burial atΒ Michigan Memorial Park inΒ Flat Rock.Β 

Farr is survived by her childrenΒ April, Randi, Courtney and Kayla; her father Raeford Mayes; grandmother Lucille Cooper; step-parents Wade Buell and Peggy May; grandchildren Brooklyn, Annabella,Β Ava, and A.J.; siblings Sheri (Phil) Crossman, Sandy (Bob) Anderson, Crystal (Lenny) Betancourt, Jessica (Jody) Collins, Kim (Ryan) Barringer, Amanda Buell and Amy Buell, andΒ many nieces and nephews.Β 

Her mother, Judy Buell, preceded her in death.Β
