Farmington Hill Student Competes In First Edition Miss Diamond, Darlings, Dolls Pageant

Enesii Mwanjabala a third grader will be the only representative for Farmington School District.

From Farmington School District: The first edition of the Little Miss Diamonds, Darlings, and Dolls Scholarship Pageant will take place 4 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at Hope United Methodist Church, 26275 Northwestern Highway, Southfield, MI.

The mission of the competition is to enhance inner beauty while promoting kindness, intelligence and self-importance for girls age 5 to 12. Earlier this month, the participants began a series of workshops that focus on self-confidence, public speaking, etiquette, charm and community service. The program will culminate with the pageant event on April 8.

There are currently 12 girls participating in the program including Enesii Mwanjabala, a 3rd grade student in Mrs. Gundle-White’s class at Hillside Elementary School. Enesii is the only student representing the Farmington School District.

The participants are responsible for raising a minimum of $500 which supports the cost of organizing the event and funding scholarships in the amount of $1,000, $500, $250 for the top three winners.

Enesii hopes to use the money to pay for theatre and art camps this summer.

Supporters can help Enesii reach her $500 goal by the deadline of March 11 by purchasing a print ad in the pageant book or by purchasing a ticket to attend the event for $25. Donations and ticket payments can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/enesii.
