Farmington Hills Hosts 'Children’s World Music Tour'

The tour will feature Guy Louis, who's performance style encourages children and families to relax while they enjoy the music.

From the City of City of Farmington Hills: Don’t let the winter chill keep you from going out and having fun with your family! Head to the Costick Center on Sunday, January 22 for the β€œChildren’s World Music Tour” featuring the music of Guy Louis presented by the City of Farmington Hills Cultural Arts Division. Hour-long performances will be held at both 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

This upbeat, hands-on event is a musical celebration that kids will love! It features instruments from different cultures including drums, shakers, flutes, and whistles (Native American); lutes (Renaissance Europe); percussion instruments (Africa); and the sitar, tamboura, and tabla drums (India).

Guy Louis has been performing for three decades and family concerts are his specialty. His interactive performance style encourages children and families to relax while they enjoy the music. Children will learn about different cultures and traditions as they dance and have fun!

Guy is a selected artist for the Michigan Touring Arts, which provides arts grants in the State of Michigan. He was an artist-in- residence for the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts in Vienna, Virginia, and holds a BA in Music from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan.
