Farmington Hills Sets Thanksgiving Trash Pickup Hours

Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection in Farmington Hills will not take place on Thursday, Nov. 26, due to Thanksgiving.
That means that refuse that is normally picked up on Thursdays will be collected on Friday. Friday’s regularly scheduled collection will take place on Saturday, and the normal schedule resumes next week.
Also, garbage collection on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week are on schedule.

Trash should be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure pickup.
The city also said yard-waste pickup ends during the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 4. Any yard waste accumulated after that week should be stored until spring pickup resumes in April 2016.
