Farmington Public Schools Closed Tomorrow
Officials Cite Extreme Cold As Reason For "Snow" Day

Thursday marked the area’s tenth day high temperatures below 20 degrees. With wind expected tomorrow, temperatures may fall as low as -20 degrees in some parts of the region, leading Farmington Public Schools to cancel all classes tomorrow.
According to the schools’ website, “School will be closed Friday, January 5th due to expected extremely cold temperatures.” For more information, visit Farmington Public Schools online or call (248) 489-3349.
After ten days of arctic blast temperatures, other schools across Metro Detroit and beyond are also announcing closures for tomorrow. Temperatures have hovered around zero for nearly two weeks, causing two tragic deaths as two elderly women with demential wandered into the snow and succumbed to exposure in the cold in Roseville and Shelby Township.
