Farmington School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Farmington is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Farmington Public School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/29: No Students — District Professional Development Day
• 8/30: No Students — All Day Building Professional Development
• 8/31: No Students – Workday in Classrooms

September

• 9/5: All K-12 Students - First Day of School (Full Day)
• 9/22: All K-12 Students AM; Professional Development for FEA Staff PM

October

• 10/4: Student Count Day
• 10/11: Grade 11 Students AM for PSAT Testing; All High School Students PM
• 10/18: Elementary Students AM; Elementary Parent Teacher Conferences PM; Middle School Students AM; Professional Development for Middle School FEA Staff PM

November

• 11/7: No Students – Full Day Professional Development for Staff (Election Day)
• 11/17: All K-12 Students AM; Professional Development for FEA Staff PM
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School - Thanksgiving Recess
• 11/27: School Reconvenes

December

• 12/1: All K-5 Students AM; K-5 Teacher Records Day PM – End of First Trimester for Elementary
