For Farmington Schools, The Times They Are A-Changin

The time changes are in response to feedback from staff and parents, according to Farmington Public Schools​.

Farmington, MI – School is likely the last thing on the minds of students and parents right now, but Farmington Public Schools district officials want to ensure the public knows about school hours that are changing for elementary and secondary students for the 2016-2017 academic year.

The Farmington Observer reports that all elementary schools, except for Highmeadow Common Campus, will begin at 8:30 a.m., with students released at 3:47 p.m.

Highmeadow's new hours are 7:55 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. but are subject to change.

All middle schools’ hours will be 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

All high schools’ hours, except for Farmington Central High School, will be 7:45 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Central students’ hours will be 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

The changes are in response to feedback from staff and parents, according to Farmington Public Schools. The bus shuttles for students who attend classes at another Farmington public school during the day will continue.
