Fiery 3-Car Crash Closes I-696 In Oakland County: Officials

No injuries were reported in the crash.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Part of Interstate 696 in Oakland County was closed Tuesday morning after a three-car fiery crash, according to officials.

The crash happened at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 696 at Interstate 275 in Farmington Hills, according to officials.

When firefighters arrived, they found three vehicles on fire after the crash, according to officials.

No injuries were reported in the crash. Officials were still trying to determine what led up to and caused the crash.

The freeway reopened later Tuesday morning, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation said.
