Free Farmington Hills Summer Concerts: Lineup, Dates, More

The Hines Drive Band, a classic rock favorite of local audiences, opens the nine-week Stars in the Park Concert Series.

From Heritage Park: A great lineup of free summer concerts will begin Thursday, June 22 in Farmington Hills. Hines Drive Band opens the nine-week Stars in the Park Concert Series. With classic rock favorites, the band promises to have the crowd dancing and singing along with many covers, as well as original songs from their early recordings. The band consists of three members of Salem Witchcraft, one of Michigan’s favorite local rock bands of the 70s and 80s.

“We were considered by many to be Michigan’s top bar band at that time, but Salem Witchcraft was also playing many concert dates with bands like Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, KISS, Aerosmith and many others,” said Moe O’Shaughnessy, one of the band members.“We went our separate ways to raise families and get ‘real’ jobs, but always remained close friends. We recently reunited to form an acoustic rock band called ‘Hines Drive.’”

All concerts take place on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. and last until approximately 8:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at the Costick Center located at 28600 Eleven Mile Road.
Heritage Park provides the perfect place for outdoor music with its lovely natural surroundings and beautiful amphitheater. It has even been called the “Mini DTE” by many past performers, who consider it their favorite outdoor concert venue.
