Heritage Park Hosts Junior Naturalist Club

Children will explore a different topic each month and gain an understanding of the natural world and their important role in protecting it.

From Heritage Park: Enrich your child’s natural curiosity and encourage physical activity in the outdoors through this hands-on environmental awareness program. Children will explore a different topic each month and gain an understanding of the natural world and their important role in helping protect it. They will also get to touch, smell, see, and hear all aspects of the natural world.

Winter and spring themes are:

  • February 11 Owl Prowl
  • March 11 Maple Sugaring
  • April 8 Signs of Spring
  • May 13 Beginning Birding
  • June 10 Wetland Exploration and Bug Hunt

The Junior Naturalist club meets from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for ages 5 to 11. The program is designed as a drop-off class. Please dress your child for the weather and exploring outdoors. Class meets inside the Nature Center.

The fee is $10 per class in advance or $12 per class paid at the door. Register online at https://recreg.fhgov.com or at the Costick Center.
