Nature Center Offers Variety of Programs for Preschoolers
Winter Preschool begins Jan. 19 at the Nature Center in Heritage Park.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – The Farmington Hills Nature Center is offering a variety of nature preschool classes this winter, and you’re sure to find something that will interest the wee ones in your family.

Winter preschool classes meet Jan. 19 through March 14 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings. Each preschool class offers a different nature theme every week and time outdoors if weather permits.

- Nature’s Little Artists meet Mondays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 1½ to 4.
- Little Trekkers meet Tuesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 1 to 4.
- Young Explorers meet Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for ages 3 to 5.
Pre-registration is required for Nature’s Little Artists. The fee is $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents.
Little Trekkers and Young Explorers offer a special drop-in fee paid the day of class or you can pre-register at a discounted rate online at https://recreg.fhgov.com or at the Costick Center. Register in advance to guarantee your spot. Little Trekkers and Nature’s Little Artists require parents to attend class with their child.

[RECIRC}To participate in Young Explorers class children must be potty trained, as it is a drop-off class.
Be sure to check-out the Boots n’ Books storytime program the third Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to noon at the Nature Center.
