Oakland County Daycare Shut Down Following List Of Violations
Investigators found multiple safety concerns and unsanitary conditions throughout the facility, according to the order.
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — A Farmington Hills daycare was shut down for numerous violations and a failure to notify the department about arraignment on felony charges, the Michigan Child Care Licensing Bureau said Tuesday.
Officials seek to revoke the group child care home license of Keisha Wade at Wade's Kiddie Care, located at 30397 Stratford Court in Farmington Hills.
Officials said Wade operated the daycare until last Friday, when state inspectors finished their investigation.

"It was critical to take emergency action to protect the health, welfare, and safety of the children at this group child care home," officials said in the announcement.
Inspectors found numerous violations, including multiple safety concerns, failure to keep hazardous items out of children's reach and unsanitary conditions throughout the facility, according to the notice.

An inspector found the bathrooms did not have basic necessities, such as hand soap, towels and toilet paper. They also found a basement toilet that didn't flush and overflowed during their visit.
They also found full trash bags that were open in the kitchen area, along with spoiled food on the counter and rotten food inside the broken refrigerator.
Officials said Wade failed to provide complete and accurate child information cards for all enrolled children. Investigators found she only had child information cards for four of the 25 children enrolled in the child care.
Wade is also facing charges in connection with a non-fatal shooting that happened earlier this summer, according to prosecutors.
The order requires Wade to inform the children's parents in her care that her license has been suspended and that she can no longer provide child care.
