Valentine's Day 2016 Sweethearts' Stroll Takes Place Sunday

A naturalist will discuss the mating behaviors of the nocturnal animals at Heritage Park.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – Have you made plans for Valentine’s Day yet?

The Farmington Hills Nature Center offers this idea, especially if you plan to treat your sweetheart to chocolate or other decadent treats want to work off the extra calories: “Stroll with Your Sweetheart.”

Hot drinks and sweet treats are included in the $5 price of the evening hike, which takes place from 8-9:30 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, at Heritage Park, 24915 Farmington Road. Also featured is a chance to win a prize for your sweetie at the Farmington Hills Nature Center.

A naturalist will share interesting stories about the courtship behaviors of the park’s nocturnal animals, and even relate them to human romantic endeavors.

Participants will meet at the Nature Center. Be sure to dress for the weather — get the Farmington-Farmington Hills forecast here — with sturdy shoes, as a majority of this program will be held outdoors.

The program is for adults 18 and older.
