Women's Self-Defense Seminar Returns to Farmington Hills

The Feb. 22 event is open to women ages 11 and older.

A popular women's self-defense seminar returns to the Costick Center in Farmington Hills on Feb. 22, 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

More than 1,000 women have participated in the Farmington Hills/Farmington Emergency Preparedness Commission (EPC) self-defense seminars, which have been presented twice yearly over the past seven years.

The class will be taught by Jeff Duncan, master instructor and sixth degree black belt; his wife Connie, second degree black belt and chief instructor; and additional female black belt instructors from Farmington Martial Arts.  Through a series of close-range drills, women will learn both situational awareness skills and self-defense skills.
