High school students can get involved in the community by joining the City of Farmington Hills Mayor’s Youth Council. (MYC). The MYC is a good hands-on experience in local government where students serve as a liaison between their peers and elected government officials. This program gives students opportunities to do community service and have a voice in the community while doing fun activities.
Freshmen interested in joining are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, August 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Costick Center to see what the MYC is about. Dinner will be provided.
The club meets twice a month from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Costick Center (28600 W. 11 Mile, Farmington Hills). The first Mayor’s Youth Council Meeting is on Monday, September 9, from 6 - 8 p.m.
