Crime Report: $4,500 Worth of Jewelry Stolen from Fenton Home

The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police are searching for suspects in the theft of $4,500 worth of jewelry from a Fenton home.

A Fenton woman told police someone entered her home on the 400 block of Dauner Haus Street between 9:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Jan. 13 and took several gold, diamond and emerald rings and necklaces.

Chief Rick Aro said it appeared someone gained entry through a rear sliding glass door. He said police observed footprints in the snow from a possible suspect and also possibly obtained fingerprints from the window. Police interviewed a neighbor who saw a suspicious male in the area around 2:30 p.m. that day.

Missing vehicle

Police are investigating a complaint of a missing vehicle from a resident on the 1000 block of North Road.

A 28-year-old Fenton male told police his mother’s 2000 green Chevrolet Cavalier came up missing sometime between Dec. 24 and Jan. 14 from the parking lot. Aro said the resident reported the car was in need of repairs, but could be driven.

$40 short

A 41-year-old Fenton female told police she left her wallet on top of a gas pump on the 3000 block of Owen Road around 11:40 a.m. Jan. 13 and returned to recover the wallet from a store employee, but $40 was missing from the wallet.

Police observed surveillance footage, but could not identify a suspect. The case is now closed.
