Crime Report: Fight Interrupts Concerts in the Park
The following arrest information was supplied by the Fenton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 36-year-old Linden resident was arrested on charges of assault and battery at the season finale of the Concerts in the Park Series Thursday night in Fenton, according to Fenton Police.
Chief Rick Aro said police received a call around 7:45 p.m. about a fight near the during the concert. Police arrived to find several people restraining a man. Officers said the man was acting combative and believe he was intoxicated, so he was placed in handcuffs.
Officers then interviewed a woman who told police the man was her husband and that they were currently separated. She said she was attending the concert with a male friend, a 25-year-old Fenton resident, and three children when her husband, a 36-year-old Linden resident, unexpectedly showed up and began kicking the woman's friend in the head and neck area five or six times before being restrained by witnesses.

Aro said the Linden resident was arrested on charges of assault and battery and also arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication. The man was taken to the police station where he was interviewed. He was given a preliminary breath test and was over the legal limit to drive, Aro said, and was held overnight at the facility. Aro declined to give specific results of the breath test.
The man was released Friday morning and given a notice to appear in court.

Dog bites 7-year-old boy
An Australian Shepherd bit a 7-year-old boy three times around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 22 on the 400 block of Dauner Haus Street, police said.
Aro said police received a call that the boy was playing on the playground when he attempted to pet the dog, owned by a 31-year-old Fenton woman, when it bit him in the face, rib cage and arm. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police said the owner had restrained the dog and made arrangements to euthanize the animal.
Aro said the case will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s officer.
Loud music and underage drinking
Police received a complaint about loud music and profanity at Aug. 23 around 6:40 p.m.
Aro said police arrived to find the music coming from a Chevy Avalanche at the south end of the parking lot. Officers found two men, who smelled of alcohol, standing by the vehicle. Aro said both men, who were younger than 21, admitted they had been drinking.
They agreed to take preliminary breath tests, and an 18-year-old Fenton Township man registered at .115, above the legal limit of .08, and he was cited for consuming alcohol under the age of 21 and his vehicle was impounded since he was over the legal limit to drive.
Also, a 19-year-old Fenton resident registered .05 blood/alcohol content and was also ticketed for consuming alcohol under the age of 21.
Wallet missing from convertible
Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle where a 65-year-old man reported his wallet was stolen from his 2003 Mustang Convertible while the top was down when he entered on Silver Lake Parkway on Aug. 18.
Aro said the man told police multiple charges had been made on credit and debit cards that were in the wallet in the Sterling Heights area.
Police have no suspects and are continuing to investigate the incident.
