Woman Rolls Vehicle on South Leroy, Van Window Broken with Beer Bottle

Fenton woman not injured in crash.

A 69-year-old Fenton woman lost control and rolled her vehicle on South Leroy Street near Elizabeth Street at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, police said.

She suffered no injuries, said Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro.

Aro said she was driving north on Leroy Street when she said she was distracted and her 2007 Dodge Caravan drifted to the right and struck a parked Chevrolet HHR. She lost control and her vehicle ended up on its side on Leroy Street, Aro said.

She was not ticketed in the crash.

 A Fenton resident filed a complaint with police that his 2006 Chevrolet van was damaged sometime between 8 p.m. Dec 4 and 8 a.m. Dec. 5 in front of his residence on the 1100 block of State Road.

Aro said the vehicle was damaged in several areas, including a broken windshield, front grill and rear passenger window. It also had several scratches, Aro said. The damage is estimated to be around $2,000.

Police have no suspects.

Van window broken with beer bottle

Police are investigating an incident of a Georgetown Apartments resident who told police his Ford Windstar Van window was broken with a 40 oz. bottle of beer.

Aro said the resident told police he parked the vehicle outside the 100 building of Georgetown at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 and at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 5 he found a broken window with the bottle of beer inside the van.

Police took the bottle as evidence and lifted some prints and are continuing to investigate the incident.

The damage was valued at $300.
