Fenton Could Soon Be Home of New Eateries

Have you been hungry for new places to eat without having to drive too far?

You might be in luck as Fenton might be the home of several new eateries in the near future.

The dropped , perhaps clearing the way for the restaurant and tavern to begin construction this fall and open in June of 2012.

Michigan Brewing Company President Bobby Mason had previously told Fenton Patch that the eatery will be family friendly with affordable food such as burgers, sandwiches and pizza.

“We’ve looked at a couple of different menus,” he said. “We will try the best we can to keep prices low.”

Also, the Fenton Press reported Wednesday that Clarkston Culver's franchise is looking to open a new restaurant in Fenton. The article stated officials plan build a Culver’s at the site of the State Bank building, on Owen Road, near South Alloy Drive.

According to the Culver's menu on its website, they offer butterburgers, sandwiches, soups and salads along with dinners of fried chicken, shrimp, cod and beef pot roast. They are also famous for their frozen custard.

The Wisconsin-based company has 428 restaurants across the country. The closest Culver's to Fenton is located in Clarkston at 6910 Sashabaw Road.

Also, if you are looking for breakfast, Biggby Coffee officials are planning a return to Fenton with a drive-through location at 235 North LeRoy St.

Another option came to Fenton in late March, as for business at 1429 North LeRoy St.

Owner Adam Rose said he wanted to bring Thai food to the small town.

"We do more stir-frying than deep-frying," Rose told Fenton Patch in April.
