Neighbors Rescue Snowmobiler Who Fell Through Ice On Oakland County Lake: Officials
This is the second incident on two different Oakland County lakes within a week, officials said.

HOLLY, MI β Neighbors pulled a man from icy water after his snowmobile fell through ice on an Oakland County lake Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
Officials said the man was riding his snowmobile on Bush Lake in the 800 block of Holly Bush Drive in Holly around 2:40 p.m. when he fell through the ice.
Neighbors in the area threw a rope to the man, who was then able to pull himself from the water while officers obtained a kayak in case he was unable to get to shore, officials said.

One of those neighbors told WXYZ he was already outside wearing his ice fishing float suit and was equipped with safety spikes when he saw the snowmobile break through the ice. He slid across the lake to give the man the ice picks and a rope, and then began pulling him from the frigid water.
"He was so cold and frozen that he couldn't really move much, so I kind of sprawled out to distribute my weight and got those in his hands," the neighbor told the news station.

Once out of the water, officers instructed the man to roll off the ice to shore, officials said.
The 36-year-old Holly man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was expected to be ok, officials said.
The incident comes just days after another snowmobiler went through ice on a Waterford Township lake.
"This is another reminder to be cautious when entering any frozen lake or waterway and that no ice is safe ice," Holly officials said in a statement.
