Fenton Film Series to Show Science Fiction Thriller 'Moon'
Free event will take place at Fenton Community & Cultural Center Nov. 9.

Again this month, the will present an entirely free event in downtown Fenton, showing the award-winning sci-fi thriller Moon at the on Wednesday, November 9th at 7 p.m.Â
The movie, rated R for language, has been described as a mind-bending, psychological thriller starring actor Sam Rockwell in a tour-de-force performance.
The 2009 film was showcased at the Sundance Film Festival and is the stunning directorial debut of Duncan Jones (aka Zowie Bowie), son of rocker David Bowie. Jones may have been inspired to take on this project by his father's 1972 song Space Oddity about Major Tom, another astronaut struggling alone in outer space.

Now in its second year, the Fenton Film Series continues with its mission of showing free, high quality movies every month in downtown Fenton in the auditorium of the Fenton Community and Cultural Center. Built in 1937 and designed by world-renown architects Eliel and Eero Saaninen, the Fenton Community & Cultural Center is an artistic jewel in its own right.
Free refreshments will also be available, including sandwiches from Gourmet Sandwiches, pastries and coffee from , homemade root beer from the , and of course pop and popcorn.
