Fenton Police Have Received More than 80 Complaints About ReSale 360

Police Chief says owners will be given opportunity to return items before investigation continues.

The number of complaints from residents stating they are owed money or property has increased to more than 80, police said.

owner Donna Hitz has continued to and hoped to have most of the items . However, she said it has been a tedious process gathering more than 3,000 items and scheduling with consignors to pick up the items.

Chief Rick Aro said police will give Hitz a chance to give back the items before the investigation continues.

"We are going to give them all opportunites for property and money to be rightfully returned," Aro said. "Once that is done, we will see where we are at."

Aro said the complaints have been steadily coming in.

Hitz has asked consignors to email Donna.Hitz@Gmail.com to make an appointment. Hitz said she will only let a couple of people in the store at once. She said she is afraid for her safety because she has received multiple threatening messages along with .

She said she has all of the items gathered and hopes to have the store clear in 10 days. She added that she must be out of the building by the end of the month. Once the store is cleared, Hitz said she will start the process of returning items at the Brighton store.

"I'm just trying to get things done," she said.
