Fenton Students Earn Honors at Spring Arbor, Graduate from Cleary University

Here is a list of Fenton students who earned degrees/certificates or were named to the academic honors list.

Spring Arbor University has announced Fenton students, who are on the Fall 2011 Academic Honors List. The Academic Honors List recognizes full-time students who have received a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester. Part-time students must receive a 3.7 GPA for the semester and carry a cumulative 3.7 GPA.

Spring Arbor University is a private, four-year Christian liberal arts university located eight miles west of Jackson, Mich. With total enrollment around 4,200, the University is affiliated with the Free Methodist Church of North America and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Katherine Black, of Fenton, a Senior majoring in Social Work. Daughter of Jerry and Lee Black.

Ashley Manzo, of Fenton, a Junior majoring in Social Work and earned a semester GPA of 4.0. Daughter of Joe and Mara Manzo.

Jessica Palmatier, of Fenton, a Junior majoring in Youth Ministry. Daughter of Christopher and Carol Palmatier.

Crystal Strawser, of Fenton, a Junior majoring in Elementary Education. Daughter of Terry and Pam Strawser.

Ronald Vincent, of Fenton, a Sophomore majoring in Biology Health Careers . Son of Katherine Vincent.

The following students were awarded certificate and/or degrees from Cleary University:

Anthony Flowers of Fenton graduated with a Associate in Business Administration in Business Enterprise.

Josiah Goyt of Fenton graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management.

Andrea Ray of Fenton graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting.

A total of 177 students were recognized at the Winter Commencement, held annually at the Lloyd & Mabel Johnson Center for Business and Community Excellence.
