Lake Fenton Board Picks New High School Principal
A contract was offered Monday to the current Galesburg-Augusta High School principal, who would replace Jerry Kramer when he retires June 30.
Galesburg-Augusta High School Principal Todd Reynolds will likely be the new face of .
The Lake Fenton Board of Education offered him a contract for the principal position with a base salary of $96,000 at a meeting Monday.
Reynolds was chosen unanimously by a seven-person team consisting of two board members, two administrators, two teachers and one parent, who interviewed the candidates.

"I was looking for three things in the person for the position; integrity, trust and honesty," Lake Fenton Superintendent Wayne Wright said. "I saw all three things in him."
Howell High School Assistant Principal Jason Schrock and Summerfield High School and Middle School Principal Scott Leach were also among the three finalists, who were chosen from 61 applicants.

Current Principal Jerry Kramer is leaving the school district after 27 years of service as an administrator, teacher and coach. The 61-year-old has been in education for 38 years.
Reynolds, 42, is originally from Marshall. He graduated from Central Michigan and played football for the Chippewas from 1987 until 1991.
He has three children, ages 10, 16 and 20.
Reynolds says he is a golf nut and has a little bit of everything on his iPod.
He said stability was a big factor in his interest in the Lake Fenton position.
"They've managed their money very well and they are continuing to grow, and in this time and age that means you are doing something right," Reynolds said. "Those things were very attractive."
He said he will preach family at Lake Fenton.
"When one struggles, we will all struggle. When we succeed, we will succeed together," Reynolds said. "I'm not going to hide anything from the kids."
