Local Robotics Team Participates in State Championships
Group also working on several community projects.

The Genesee Robotic Area Youth Team Leviathons made it to the state championships this weekend at Eastern Michigan University.
The squad didn't place near the top of the 170 teams, but coach Kim Weber said the team earned a state championship in cooperation as they worked with another team send their mini robot to reach the goal more than anyone else.
The team is also currently working on several community service projects including cleaning two miles of US 23, Relay For Life and the Autism Walk.

They are also selling “green” light bulbs that actually make money for the purchaser. They contain no mercury or lead. They last 10,000 luminary hours compared to the 1,500 to the standard bulb. Each bulb also saves $20 a year in electricity.
