Mott Community College’s Fine Arts Gallery will present an exhibition of reliefs and paintings by Andrea Ondish from Feb. 21 through March 8. The exhibit is titled “Reliefs and Recent Paintings: Recent Works” and will feature textured surface reliefs and paintings using watercolor, acrylic, oil pastels, oil paint and cold wax encaustic. In addition, Ondish will give an Art Talk that will be available through the MCC Fine Art Gallery page (www.gallery.mcc.edu) and made possible in part by the Ballenger Trust.

Andrea Ondish received an MFA in Printmaking, Indiana State University. MA in Printmaking and Painting, Eastern Illinois University. BFA cum laude in Drawing, Painting, Illustrating, Printmaking, Marywood University. AAS Commercial Art, Graphic Design Luzerne County Community College. Andrea is currently Curator of Education, at the Marshall Fredericks Sculpture Museum, Saginaw Valley State University, where she also serves as Adjunct Faculty.
Ondish states, “The content of the artwork seems to lean toward the weathering of a surface over a passage of time, how a surface gets marred by random marks, how dirt and grime build up in the deep recesses on the surface; a metaphor in life.
