Sale is pending on property, potential buyers plan to install new theater.

The old Fenton Cinema might be reopened as a brand new movie theater in the coming months.
Inc. owner Patrik Welty said a sale is pending on the property located at 291 Alloy Drive in Fenton.
Welty said the potential purchasers have made an agreement with the bank, but are currently inspecting the building and estimating the costs of renovation. He said the process could take two weeks to two months.

The Fenton Cinema closed in 2008. A Tyrone Township resident had a purchase agreement for the building and planned to turn the theater into seven different venues for live entertainment, including music and a hookah bar, but the deal fell through earlier this month.
The property is listed at $535,000 and has eight screens, 2,000 seats and two concession areas.
