• Fenton, Holly wrestling teams compete at Romeo Duals (tctimes.com) — Fenton High’s wrestlers opened the season strong at the Romeo Duals, going 4-1 and beating rival Holly 55-21 along with three other schools. Several Tigers posted standout records, including two undefeated grapplers and multiple wrestlers with four wins by pin. Holly managed one team victory and a few impressive individual performances despite a tough day overall.
   

• Genesee Health System awards $220,000 to 22 food pantries (midmichigannow.com) — A Fenton congregation is among 22 Genesee County food pantries each receiving a $10,000 grant from Genesee Health System to boost hunger relief. Partnering with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan, the funding targets pantries that are expanding services and need more capacity to serve local families.
