Pet of the Week: 'Gracie' Desperately Needs a Home

Several dogs and cats are currently available for adoption or rescue through Genesee County Animal Control.

This week, the department is highlighting Akita mix 'Gracie' who is described as gentle, kind and great with kids. She is available free to a rescue organization or can be be adopted privately if you talk with Director Walt Rodenbaugh.

Gracie will be euthanized if a home or rescue cannot be found, according to the department's most recent post on Fenton Patch. You can find a full list of available animals for adoption, as well as photos, here.

The shelter is located near Flushing at 4351 W. Pasadena Road in Flint.
