Police Blotter: Attempted Larceny, Possession of Marijuana

Here is a look at the city of Fenton police action from May 7 until May 10.

Police investigated an attempted larceny from a vehicle on May 7.

Chief Rick Aro said an officer responded to a resident’s complaint on the 500 block of North Lemon around 10:40 a.m. The resident reported someone had attempted to take the radio out of his unlocked car during the night, Aro said.

Officers said it appeared as if someone attempted to take out the radio, but couldn’t fully remove it.

 Possession of Marijuana

 Aro said an officer made a traffic stop near U.S. 23 and Torrey Road on a 2010 Chevrolet around 10 p.m. May 7 when he observed passengers moving in a suspicious manner.

Aro said the driver of the vehicle granted the officer permission to search the vehicle and the officer found a small bag of what appeared to be marijuana in a backpack.

Police arrested a 16-year-old Fenton Township resident for possession of marijuana. He was jailed and released to his grandfather, Aro said.
