Possible Tornado Causes Damage at Thompson, Jennings Roads

Fenton Township homes damaged by storm late Tuesday.

A roof was blown off one home and nearby homes sustained damage after a storm late Tuesday that might have spawned a tornado, according to MLive.  According to the report, at least four homes in the area of Jennings and Thompson roads in Fenton Township, west of US-23, were damaged either by high winds or by fallen trees. The stretch of Thompson Road between Jennings and Fairbanks roads was closed at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday as police officials surveyed the damage, the report indicated. WJRT-TV in Flint has video of the storm's damage. You also can share photos of the damage here on Patch. According to the MLive report, the National Weather Service has not yet confirmed that a tornado had, in fact, touched down in the area.  Fenton previously sustained tornado damage in 2007, when a storm swept through downtown and southern portions of the City of Fenton.
