Motorcade for Fallen Soldier Traveled Through Fenton Sunday
Motorcade traveled through Fenton to Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly Sunday.
A solider that grew up in Macomb County and died in Afghanistan will have his funeral at in Fenton, Fenton Police Chief Rick Aro said.
Aro said the funeral will be at noon and it will be followed by a motorcade to Great Lake National Cemetery in Holly.
The Detroit Free Press reported Army Staff Sgt. Ergin V. Osman 35, of Jacksonville, N.C., was one of six soldiers who died May 26 after insurgents attacked their unit with an improvised explosive device.

Osman was flown into Bishop International Airport Friday morning and transported to the Sharp Funeral Home.
The Free Press stated he served in the Marines for 10 years before enlisting in the Army was deployed to Afghanistan nine times.

“That’s what he was born and bred to do – he was very proud of it,” family friend Geri Witt, 67, of Macomb Township, told the Detroit Free Press.
